Domestic parts are mainly used for self-owned brand cars, low market share according to the data of the Ministry of Commerce, foreign capital controls the vast majority of the market share of auto parts, domestic parts sales revenue accounts for only 20%-25% of the whole industry, auto parts manufacturers with foreign capital background account for more than 75% of the entire industry, in these foreign suppliers, wholly-owned enterprises accounted for 55%. Sino-foreign joint ventures account for 45%, and local parts are mainly used in self-owned brand cars, with a low market share.

In the high-tech fields such as automotive electronics and engine parts, the foreign market share is as high as 90%, among which, the output of core components such as electric injection system, engine management system, ABS and airbags, automatic transmission of automobiles, the proportion of foreign enterprises is 100%, 100% and 91%, 69% respectively.
